Frippe S Postad 3 Juli , 2015 Rapport Share Postad 3 Juli , 2015 Sealant? Do they need seelant? Do you mean like a locking fluid like loctite? Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
Glynn Postad 3 Juli , 2015 Författare Rapport Share Postad 3 Juli , 2015 I have taken one out and coolant came out of the hole, so it must be into the water jacket. Unless I have just found another problem. Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
54ekstrom Postad 6 Juli , 2015 Rapport Share Postad 6 Juli , 2015 If the engine has survived until now, it is probably not a big problem. A smallish casting defect or a drill that has bit too deep... I'd suggest using good quality thread locking compound (Loctite of some description) or the old solution for sealing metal pipe screwed joints: some shreds of linen (flax) fibres and linseed oil... or thread-seal tape (teflon). As long as you get it tight, I don't think you need to worry. Any substance used must withstand 100+ °C, of course. 1 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
KristianEriksson Postad 7 Juli , 2015 Rapport Share Postad 7 Juli , 2015 Its normal. Some of them are drilled in to the waterjacket. As Ekström says, just use some thread sealing compond. 2 Citera Länk till kommentar Dela på andra webbplatser
